DROUIN DANCE CENTER DANCE COMPANY
Drouin Dance Center Company is our studio dance company for students that study ballet, tap, jazz, and other forms of dance and wish to study dance at an intensive level. As a member of the Company, dancers develop as students, performers, and members of a pre-professional dance company. Company members will gain performance experience performing choreography locally and competing throughout Maine and New England in dance competitions.

The Drouin Dance Center Dance Company competed at the Starquest International Dance Challenge in Andover, Massachusetts February 29-March 2 and came home with 5 Gold Medals, 1 High Silver Medal, and recognition for Outstanding Costume. The tap duet, “Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?” danced by Isis Clark, age 7, and Jada Libby, age 6, placed second overall. The Dance Company dancers are Isis Clark, Brittany Freeman, Ashley Harriman, Aidan Rodier, Abby St. Clair, and Mikala Varela of Westbrook; Jada Libby of Windham; and Valorie Lake of Portland. Congratulations to all dancers! Next up for the Dance Company is the Showstopper National Dance Competition in Brockton, Massachusetts March 28-30, Olympic Miss Dance Performing Arts Competition April 27 and the Turn it Up Dance Challenge May 4th. 2008-2009 DANCE COMPANY AUDITIONS! Competition Dance Companies for Ages 7 & up! Date: Wednesday, June 4th Place: DDC Studios, 90 Bridge Street, Suite 325, Westbrook
Time: Ages 7 & 8 : 5:00-6:00 pm Ages 9-12: 6:00-7:00 pm Ages 13 & up: 7:00-8:00 pm
Please wear a leotard & tights, and bring all of your dance shoes. Hair must be up in a secure ponytail or bun. No jewelry, please. Please be warmed up and ready to dance at audition time. Please prepare a short 45 second- 1 minute routine, showcasing your favorite steps and combinations.
